Mutual friends and the girls known as BOY
Swiss/German pop duo BOY made its US debut this month with two sold-out shows in New York City. Founded by Swiss-German singer Valeska Steiner and German bassist Sonja Glass, their English language debut album Mutual Friends was released stateside on February 26, 2013 with Nettwerk Music Group.
We had a chance to see BOY for their first-ever Brooklyn show, at Union Hall on March 02. It was an emotionally-charged performance, especially when the room started singing along to “Little Numbers.” Singer Valeska couldn’t believe that the American audience knew the words and it was a special moment for the girls on stage!
